The Wiers at night

The Experience

Winchester combines the best of both worlds with history and an inspirational atmosphere. Fill your days exploring the great blend of eclectic shops, fine restaurants and contemporary bars as well as the famous Cathedral and beautiful Water Meadows. The surrounding countryside has a network of footpaths and bridleways for walking and cycling. Communications are excellent with the railway station, A34, M3 and M27 within easy reach.

Capitol House is nestled behind the Chesil Rectory Restaurant, one of Winchester’s best preserved Medieval buildings, and adjacent to the sought after location of Bridge Street. You are just a stone's throw from Winchester Centre and the popular St Giles Hill offering panorama views of the city.

The property is accessed via a video security entry system which leads to a vibrant communal entrance hall which offers a look and feel of a boutique hotel.

Come on in!….

The space itself, is a stylish, ground floor contemporary apartment, located in the heart of Winchester. As you open the front door, you will instantly feel the stresses of your journey drain away by the beautifully curated aromatic blends of essential oil. Walking from the entrance hall into the open plan living, dining and kitchen area, you will be welcomed with a bottle of fizz, or a bottle of wine – should you prefer and some snacks.

Comfy & Cosy….

The living area has subtle and soft lighting, a comfy sofa and an armchair, and a large wool woven rug you could almost curl up on!  The floor to ceiling windows allow plenty of light to flood in and are fitted with automated electric blinds.

For those rainy days or evenings, cozy under one of the blankets and watch TV, which has all the favourites built in -like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. If you prefer games, then why not play the Winchester version of Monopoly or chose from the various other board games we have left for you.

Calling all chefs….

The bespoke kitchen area is well equipped for the determined cooks and you can enjoy the culinary delights at a round table (not quite the Knights Round Table!) which seats 4. You will find all the usual kitchen tools-microwave, kettle, toaster etc. Enjoy a latte or cappuccino with our coffee machine!  We also provide milk, tea and sugar and instant coffee if you’re on the go. The kitchen has been designed specifically for the apartment and comprises a full height fridge freezer, oven, hob and dishwasher with storage and a quartz work surface and plenty of storage.

Off to bed….

This apartment can sleep up to 4 with the comfortable double pull out sofa bed.

The double bedroom offers you a  cosy sleeping space with a king sized bed, dressed with White Company bedding, soft pillows with soft contemporary bedside lamps. You will find plenty of hanging space in the fitted wardrobes with floor to ceiling mirrored doors and we have left wooden hangers for your convenience, along with a hair dryer and a small pair of hair straighteners. There is a small dressing table to the left of the wardrobe.

Need to freshen up?….

The bathroom is equipped with underfloor heating, a large walk in shower, and warm up yogurt towel with the large heated towel rail. Forgotten your soap & shampoo? – not to worry, we provide some all natural & organic Neils Yard goodies, to help uplift, relax and revive you, including fresh smelling lemongrass hand soap and lotion, shower gel and nurturing Rose shampoo.

There is private secured parking for one car, but Chesil car park has plenty of spaces if you require additional parking.
